Dvortsovy Bridge was designed as an essential link to Vasileostrovsky and Admiralteysky Districts of our metropolis. Nowadays it is an integral part of St. Petersburg highway system. During the reconstruction of that aged bridge, the existing dimensions of the navigable spans were preserved.
